Notifications
Everre tells you when something needs you — a task lands on your plate, a colleague mentions you, a form on one of your sites is filled in, a document comes back fully signed. Each of those is a notification: a line in the bell at the foot of the left rail, and, if you want it, an email.
The bell
The bell sits at the bottom of the left rail, above your avatar. A badge counts what you have not read. Click it for the last few notifications; a notification that arrives while you are working appears there immediately, without reloading the page.
Click a notification to open the thing it is about — the task, the property, the inquiry, the signed document — and it is marked read on the way. Mark all read clears the badge in one go.
All notifications at the foot of the bell opens the full list. On a phone, where there is no rail, the same list is under your avatar in the bottom bar as Notifications.
The Notifications page
The page holds everything, newest first, with a filter across the top:
- All — everything
- Unread — what you have not opened, with a count
- Work — what other people and the assistant have put in front of you: task assignments, mentions, replies, review requests, signed documents, messages
- Leads — inquiries from forms on your sites
- Account — the platform talking about itself: a low credit balance, an automation that paused, a mailbox that needs reconnecting
Hover a row for Mark read / Mark unread and a delete control. Older notifications load on demand at the foot of the list.
What you are told about
| Notification | When | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Task assigned | A task is created for you, or reassigned to you | The assignee |
| Mention | A comment on a deal, property, person or company @mentions you | Whoever is named |
| Reply | Someone replies to a comment you wrote | The original author |
| New inquiry | A form on one of your published sites is submitted | Everyone in the organisation |
| Document signed | Every signer has signed a document you sent | The person who sent it |
| Review request | The assistant prepared something for you to approve while you were not in the conversation — a scheduled automation ran, or an email set it off | The person it acts for |
| Automation paused | A standing instruction failed enough times in a row to stop itself, with the last error | Whoever created it |
| Balance alert | The organisation's credit balance drops under $10 | Administrators, once per top-up |
| Email reconnection | A connected mailbox has lost its token | Its owner, once a day |
You are never told about your own actions. Assigning yourself a task or replying to your own thread produces nothing.
Choosing what reaches you
Open Profile & Settings from your avatar and go to the Settings tab. Each kind of notification has two switches — one for the bell inside Everre, one for email — and changes take effect when you click Save preferences. Preferences are per organisation, so if you belong to more than one, each keeps its own.
Turning off an email switch stops that kind of mail without touching the bell. Turning off both means that kind of notification is not created at all.
A few notifications have no switch — a signed document, a mailbox that needs reconnecting, a message a colleague sent you through the assistant — because they concern something you asked for directly rather than something happening in the background.
Emails come from Everre and link straight to the item. If the organisation has no email transport configured, the bell still works and the notification says so on its row.
Notifications and the assistant
The assistant can read your notifications and act on them: ask "anything I missed?" and it reads the unread list and marks it read once you have dealt with it. It can also send a colleague a notification on your behalf — "let Dana know the estoppel came in" — which lands in their bell, and in their inbox if they have email on for messages. Their preferences decide, not yours.
Over the API, the same list is GET /api/v1/notifications, and
POST /api/v1/notifications sends one to a member of your organisation
through their preferences. See the API reference under Notifications.
